Located in Qinghai Province, one of China's highest-altitude regions with extreme temperature variations, this LNG L-CNG integrated station serves as a critical energy infrastructure node for local transportation networks. The project demonstrates TRIUMPH's expertise in adapting advanced cryogenic technology to harsh environmental conditions, providing a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to traditional fossil fuels.
Our comprehensive solution covers every aspect from initial design and engineering to equipment manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and after-sales support. The station combines LNG storage and dispensing capabilities with on-site LNG-to-CNG conversion, offering maximum flexibility for different vehicle types.
Specifically engineered for Qinghai's unique geographical conditions, our equipment operates reliably at altitudes above 3,000 meters and temperatures as low as -40°C. The system incorporates enhanced insulation, cold-resistant materials, and optimized pressure control systems to maintain consistent performance even in the most challenging environments.
This integrated station provides both LNG and CNG refueling services from a single LNG source, eliminating the need for separate CNG pipeline connections. LNG is ideal for long-haul heavy trucks and buses, offering extended driving ranges, while CNG caters to taxis, ride-hailing vehicles, and short-distance passenger cars. This dual functionality maximizes the station's utilization rate and return on investment.
Safety is our top priority in every project. The station features multiple layers of protection including:
Pressure relief valves and emergency shutdown systems
Real-time leak detection with audible and visual alarms
Fire suppression systems
Explosion-proof electrical components
Comprehensive safety interlocks
All equipment is designed and manufactured in strict compliance with international standards such as ASME BPVC Section VIII, PED 2014/68/EU, and national standards GB150 and GB18442.

LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) is natural gas cooled to -162°C and stored as a liquid at low pressure, offering high energy density and long driving ranges for heavy-duty vehicles. L-CNG (Liquefied to Compressed Natural Gas) is produced by vaporizing LNG and compressing it to 25 MPa, providing a cost-effective alternative to pipeline CNG for areas without natural gas infrastructure.
This Qinghai Loncin Gas station has a maximum LNG refueling capacity of 2×10⁴ Nm³/day and a CNG refueling capacity of 1×10⁴ Nm³/day. It can serve approximately 200 LNG heavy trucks and 300 CNG passenger vehicles daily.
The typical project timeline from contract signing to commissioning is 4-6 months, depending on site conditions and local approval processes. TRIUMPH's modular design approach and prefabricated components significantly reduce on-site construction time and ensure faster project completion.
TRIUMPH is a leading manufacturer of cryogenic equipment and a trusted provider of EPC services for natural gas refueling stations worldwide.
